Bucking Fastard left this review about The Queens Head
A small old building knocked together with another, this is a very old school boozer along a busy road with a large garden full of pic nic benches and a car park to the front. The main door leads to the tap room with a series of high tables and a flatscreen with Sky News chuntering away. The section to the left has more traditional tables and a banquette to one side of a defunct wood burner. It's all quite basic and a little worn, while in the large garden there is a shack where BBQ meals maybe offered ,not midweek. There are some signs of live music, maybe outside too but the atmosphere was downbeat and maybe the pub is struggling.
At the bar just one real ale Hobgoblin Gold reasonably well kept but only NBSS Acceptable as it's a dull brew. This is the only pub in Wormley and quite a way from any competition so you might think it has a large, respectable target audience. In the right hands and with some careful redesign and thought it could be quite decent. As it stands no reason to revisit.
