Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Mill

Substantial canalside pub and restaurant, formed from several adjoining buildings. The L-shaped bar and lounge areas in the main original building have been refurbished in a rather anonymous semi-traditional style, although temporarily dominated by World Cup flags. Also has a sheltered patio beer garden and further outdoor tables nearer the navigation. Slightly unexpectedly, there are six handpumps on the counter, five of which were offering London Pride, Tribute, Tring's Side Pocket, Harvey's and Swifty session IPA from Jiddler's Tipple (£6.20, too warm).

An impressive building from the outside,on entering the main door the bar is directly infront and extends to the right,where there is a large lounge with somewhat trendy furniture,sofas etc and most punters eating.To the left of the front door is a more formal restaurant and a seperate room with a long dining table used for private functions.The best feature of the pub is through the lounge to an external enclosed patio with the mill race cascading water down into a trough where the waterwheel would have been.This is a good spot to sit outside,there is well designed seating and an awning giving shade in this sun trap.Musak is piped around the interior and also out into the patio. Three handpumps serving GK IPA,Old Speckled Hen and the Bombardier clip was thankfully reversed.Busy and popular ,mainly with a dining crowd but pleasent enough for a quick pint if not for a full session.
