Decent sized pub which is well placed between the train station and the town. Very friendly service. HPA and Butty Bach on offer. I went for the HPA which was fine. Happy to have called in.

Will Larter left this review about The White Lion Inn
A half-timbered building of great age with fairly harmonious modern additions, the White Lion stands at the eastern edge of the town and within sprinting distance of the railway station. The inn sign boasts good food, a beer garden and a children's play area, but a greater attraction from my point of view was the row of three hand pumps in the middle of the bar. With a choice of Wye Valley Butty Bach, Hobsons Best Bitter and Mayfields Auntie Myrtle's, a premium ale brewed locally, and only six minutes until my train, I plumped for the Auntie Myrtle's - the only one I hadn't drunk before. This turned out to be a good choice, because it was in very good condition and went down very well, but likely one or both of the others would have been just as good. It was fairly lively for the time of day (just before 5:30pm), but as four of the lively crew got on the same train as me, I imagine the pub would have been a fair bit quieter at 5:35. Definitely one to include on a visit to Leominster, especially if arriving or departing by train.
