A two roomed pub, saloon to the front and public bar to the rear. There were five or six customers in, I'm not sure if they were locals or on day release from nearby facilities, I noted all were drinking Lager so I foolishly decided to go for a pint of the only ale on from the two handpumps, St Austell Tribute which while just about drinkable was not to clever. The pub looked like it had recentley had a lick of paint which gives a fairly light feeling to the interior and yet it still felt a little shabby, I was dubious about sitting on some of the stained upholstery. The Landlady/barmaid seemed pleasant enough but not a pub I would rush back to.

Unloved J-shaped locals boozer. Naff Artex walls and ceiling. Brick fireplace from the 1970s to left with a wood burning stove housed within. Basic side patio. Just a warm and lacklustre TT Boltmaker available on the ale front. Village idiot barman thought my order of a half of Boltmaker and a lemonade actually meant I wanted a shandy (corrected) then a Magners (WTF?), possibly the biggest dolt I’ve ever encountered behind a bar and I’ve encountered a fair few. Live band at least gave us something to take our minds off how poor this place was.
