The local CAMRA GBG Big Cheese but I didn’t have a GBG level time here. One over-worked barmaid. An indolent youth who was at the bar before me and then seemed affronted when I said she was first and then never said thanks! Some locals who then jumped the queue so I was stood at the bar like an idiot despite the barmaid knowing full well I was supposed to be next. Eventually got a Hawkshead Bitter which didn't clear, twice, after I asked for a pour-through (NBSS 1.5). The replacement Windermere Pale was hazy (NBSS 1.5), I gave up taking stuff back. Interior that's been blandised somewhat but some old touches remain. Abysmal visit.

A pleasant enough pub that's traditional inside. An open plan J-shaped interior with exposed beams and stone tiling on the floor. 2 handpumps on the bar serving real ales.
