A large cream roughcast covered building just outside the railway station and a good walk from the village centre. Two signs outside, one says “under new management” the other says for sale. Possibly the former as the staff are very friendly and eager. Mediocre London Pride and Bombardier on hand pump backed up by a fairly standard range of kegs, including both Guinnesses, Fosters, Carlsberg, Stella and Strongbow. Traditional pub décor and furnishings, the seats being a bit tatty and there is a darts board and a telly. Loads of railway photos of course, and some sepia prints of the village in the olden days, oh and some nice fresh flowers. Since visiting I have been told it has shut but I cant confirm that.
