I have passed this pubs for over thirty years and never ventured inside, last Saturday afternoon was my first time, and sorry to say it will very likely be my last time

Has two bars, bit unusual in that. There were three pumps, but one was not available. I ordered Pedigree, but I suspect it was near the end of the barrel as the bar maid had a job getting anything but froth out of the pump. So I changed to Boondoggle, which was a new one on me

This also gave rise to some difficulty in getting a pint instead of froth. £2.80. One sip and I suspected it was "off" it was more Sarson like than beer like, but as my first tiem of drinking it, maybe it was me. I asked a fellow customer to try it, he reckoned it was OK

So, may be me or may be the beer. I left it on the counter

From my experience of the two pubs on the A3 in Purbrook I think I will stay on the bus in future, but I may just go back here to see if it was me or the beer. If you are the publican reading this, please prove me wrong
