pub lost to the developers, now to close end of year
CUSTOMERS have spoken of their anger after closing time was called on the pub they fought to save.
The Crows Nest, in Hazleton Way, Waterlooville, has been the subject of an 18-month battle by punters to save it from the bulldozers.
The tenant which runs the pub, Southern Counties Taverns, has been told by the owner Acres Developments, it must cease trading by December 29

Return lunch time visit, the large car park now being sold off for development
3 hand pulls, all from the Fuller's stable. Unable to try them as there was no one around to serve me, so black marks there
Also very obvious that despite the non smoking law someone had been smoking in the bar, it stank of nicotine [I am a non smoker, and the smell of fags is very noticeable]
Serves food [if any one around that is]
Has "happy hours" PM
So, a mark down all round
Would I go back? I see no reason to at present

Went in after I took the photos, one bar only. Had pint of IPA which was tasty
Pub itself is normal suburban local, nothing outstanding or detrimental, has large car park
