The food was good and plentiful and the Old Speckled Hen was very welcome and refreshing. The question I have is this - Why oh why is nobody able to clear up food from the floor? During our stay of anout an hour several fried Chips (not ours) were over time ground into the floor by the Bar. Rant over.

Greene King Hungry Horse with all that entails. There’s a large interior with a red and cream colour scheme. One to make you shudder is the presence of a soft toy grabber arcade machine. Freezing cold inside, not sure that’s the way to entice in diners. One unique oddity to save the place from being a complete write-off was the presence of small flat screen TVs in the seating booths showing the football, never seen those before. Two on ales on, GK IPA and Abbot. The Abbot was perfunctory at best.

a drinkers pub with a loyal local following. menu mainly fast food burgers etc. Good for people on a budget. not for me :(
