Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Shoe
This village seemed to be a strange place for a Wadworth pub, but a Wadworth pub it is. The focus here seems to be on dining, with Sunday lunches being served on our visit. Seating consists of indoors, a shaded porch area or a riverside garden on the opposite side of the lane. Children are allowed in.
We chose to sit on the porch and didn't get much of a look inside. However, there are 2 rooms with many tables reserved for dining, despite it not being too busy. In fact, it was the garden that was the most popular seating area. The left-hand room has a large map on the wall under a large Shoe sign. The right-hand room contains the bar and had some racks of bread to the right-hand side.
Beers are all from Wadworth. 6X & Henry's IPA are regularly served. Horizon was also available for our visit with 2 spare handpulls. Folly Road Hazy IPA was the pick of the keg options, whilst I opted for the Lilley's Mango Cider.
I enjoyed the setting of this pub but some beers other than Wadworth wouldn't have gone amiss.
