E TA left this review about The Prince Of Wales

A traditional back street boozer near rhe football ground and marinas, and apparently it’s been in the same family for over 40 years. It definitely has a local flavour, and it’s a popular venue for local families. There are two bars, a public bar with one area informally divided off as a snug while still being part of the same room. The second bar is football themed, but it wasn’t open when we visited. The décor is tired, the furniture battered, but it does feel a bit more familiar than nearby similar establishments. There is a small garden with a covered smoking area. The walls inside are adorned with Saints football memorabilia, there are various sports trophies on display, and a couple of gaming machines supply entertainment for those who wish it. No real ale, just a keg range of Prior Life IPA, Thatcher’s Gold, Heineken, Madri, Maltsmith’s lager, Wolfpack Stout, Strongbow and Fosters. There were 2 dry handpumps on the bar; it wasn’t clear how long these had been inactive. Probably a decent local if you don’t want real ale or cider, but it’s not an area I’d wish to revisit so probably won’t come back.
