A 1950s town pub on the edge of a housing estate. There is a small car park but not much by way of garden. Inside, there are two traditional bars, a public and a saloon, the latter out of bound to children. The saloon has very faded, worn bank seats and repro Victorian fireplace. In the public bar are a pool table and gaming machines. Both bars have TV screens and a variety of maritime and historical photos. Wednesday night is bike night, and they are quite welcoming of strangers throughout the week. Only one ale on, Doombar, which was in average condition. Also available were Madri, Fosters, Strongbow, Guinness, Moretti, Carling and Heineken. A decent enough local, though not a destination in its own right.
