Originally Lock, Stock and Barrel, a reference to Locks Heath, this modern adjunct to the Locks Heath Shopping Centre is open, airy and to some extent welcoming. It's a single large bar, half of it full of tables laid for diners, the other half a lounge bar, so it's not really a local pub, more of a drop-in cafe. It's a Hall and Woodhouse pub, but not one of their best. There was only one ale on when we visited, Citra Sunburst, alongside two dry pumps. The ale was in very good condition. Also available were several keg ciders, Guinness, Outland IPA, Fosters, Heineken and a foreign lager. There was also a large selection of gins and cocktail ingredients. They host regular live music acts, dog treats are available on the bar, and it's popular with families and shoppers. Not a great boozer, but that may not be forever.
