Expecting the worst, going into a Greene King branded pub and finding bland khaki décor and lots of people eating, but pleasantly surprised to find this is still very much a locals' pub, with a dartboard (and in use too!), a couple of sports TVs and a good throb of conversation. Similarly the first set of handpumps showed only IPA and the GK house beer, but the second set offered Black Sheep, Tribute and Abbot, along with a couple of fruit ciders. That sampled was in fair condition (Cask Marque accredited). All in all a quite acceptable pub.
