Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Anchor Inn
Located in a fine position, overlooking the small boats and tide mill at Eling. A little bit tatty inside, with various different seating / dining areas around the bar area. Sport on one TV. However, if the sun's out then most people will be found sitting outside at the wooden picnic tables. Busy on a Sunday lunchtime, with a reasonable menu but slightly iffy service. Three real ales on handpump: Ringwood Best (£3.10), Gales HSB and Doom Bar.

OH my, what a disappointment this pub was
Lovely sunny day in school holidays, pub is located near to tourist attraction of Eling Tidal mill& picturesque boat moorings. Ideal spot for a pub to capitilise on visitors it would seem
However despite painted sign stating open all day, it only opens at 4pm, does not serve food, and had run out of beers, only Strongbow, JS Smooth or lager was left
One large bar, very sparse & a bit shabby, has outside seating areas
Not a pub to bother visiting, not often I can say that, "Always look on the bright side", but there is none here
If accessing from Marchwood side there is a £1 Toll Bridge to cross by car, and it would be an even bigger let down if you had paid a toll to find what we found [There is free car park on Marchwood side, so could walk over bridge]
One star only, just so folk know I did not leave a rating
