A comfortable locals' pub, the front room has an open modern feel with a cosy area in the middle with sofas and a dining area behind. Patio garden to the side. A fair range of draught beers available, at time of visit including Ringwood 49er, London Pride, Hobgoblin and Irvine Frigate.

A Victorian high street pub previously called The Thatched House, now substantially modernised and redecorated to provide a modern, open-plan local. The front bar has a hard floor and often hosts live music acts, the flooring making a good surface for uncoordinated gyration among the significantly inebriated and tone deaf. The saloon bar area is carpeted and has various comfy seating. There is a dartboard in a cabinet in the saloon, but it didn't seem to be very popular. At the back is a dining area with an open kitchen which, it is rumoured, also does takeaways. There is a paved garden at the side, mainly used by smokers. The staff were rather unwelcoming and inefficient, though the locals, an eclectic bunch of humans, dogs and others, were much more pleasant. Three ales on were Pedigree, Bombardier and Ringwood Fortyniner. They were not well kept and in poor condition. Decent enough for a local, but beer quality and too much noise mean I am unlikely to rush over here.

One large bar, but divided into drinkers & diners areas, pleasant walled sunny garden with tables for eating or drinking
Bit limited on ales, only two when I visited.
Seems a family type of place, serves food, but £4 sandwiches are not for me, hot food seems more reasonable around £7 mark
I think for a trouble free drink & perhaps a meal this is somewhere you could use without too many worries

Recently reburbished, and now trading under the name of Thatchers, this pub still remains a venue to visit with your bank manager in tow, or alterntively a Securicor van loaded with ready cash.
