All change again as this has now become an Ember Inn. A large and slightly rambling establishment with several different areas arranged round the central bar area, all refurbished in their typical house style of 'relaxed lounge'. A strong emphasis on the food trade but drinkers welcome also, with odd sofas interspersed amongst the tables and ale offers on Mondays and Thursdays. There is a patio area to the front outside. A good bank of handpumps with a competent if slightly mundane range (admittedly during Covid) of London Pride, TEA, Landlord and the house bitter Twilighter from Black Sheep. As its name suggests, handy for the station opposite despite the best efforts of road planners to frustrate pedestrians.

Large outlet now trading as a ‘pizza kitchen and bar’. Quite a neatly done interior with discrete drinking/eating areas, an island bar, some tiled patches on the floor/bar front and a lovely original green tiled fireplace. There’s also a decent wraparound garden. Euro 2016 flag bunting up so assume football gets shown, certainly cricket does as the test match was on during our visit. Three pumps but nothing on so a Guinness did for me. More drinker-friendly than expected and I guess if you like pizza, this might be up your street. If they actually put on a decent ale regularly…

Just across the road from Fleet train station, it is a large open plan pub on several levels with various seating arrangements from high and low tables to leather upholstered banquettes around the outer perimeters. Several large tv screens adorn the walls for sports coverage.
Since its last refurbishment and name change a couple of years ago the pub has gone a little more upmarket than its former guise as the Links, the pool tables have been removed and now concentrates more on dining, Pizzas are the speciality. There is a large central island bar upon which are a selection of usual keg offerings, and three handpumps, only one in use on my visit that serving Doombar, one was blank and the other had a covered
Greene King IPA badge on it.OK here if you want to watch a match and munch on a Pizza but not much happening on the ale front.
