A fairly decent motel bar on the ground floor of the eponymous hotel. It serves those who are resident as well as visitors to the spa, restaurant, functions and other areas of the building. It’s owned by Thwaites, consequently two of their ales, Gold and IPA, are available and were in very good condition when we visited. Also on tap were Paradise No 3, Moretti, Prahva, Guinness and Aspall’s Cider. There are various private seating areas, the young staff were quite efficient and it has a pleasant, if a little sterile, atmosphere. It’s handy for the M27 and the nearby Lidl, and it’s a good place to while away spare time if in the area.
