E TA left this review about The Cuckoo Pint
A 1970s McPub owned by GK which mostly purveys unappetising body enhancing nutrients to the hard-of-slimming - bearing in mind cuckoo-pint is a poisonous plant (OK not normally lethal, but pretty unpleasant), it's not somewhere I would instinctively want to eat. A large rambling bar is divided into various areas by raised floors and balustrades, and one area is reserved for games; it has a pool table and two dartboards. There were some gaming machines, and some of the carpets were torn. Outside is a large smoking area which can also be used to park cars. Staff were helpful, and the locals were mostly normal. The only beer on worth drinking was GK IPA, which, to be fair, was alright. I wouldn't baulk at coming back, maybe for one of their curry theme nights, but it wouldn't be my first choice of destination in this area.
