Moby Duck left this review about The Wheatsheaf
A big old building but very basic inside, full of chavs ,old chavs and dumb barmaids, only ales on were the Sharps duo of Doom Bar and Atlantic, needless to say my coke was too cold.Highlight of this visit was Shaggy's Mr Bombastic on the jukebox , nuff said, won't be back.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wheatsheaf
Conversion of a grand old building, which one imagines might be quite upmarket but is actually quite basic inside. Retains separate lounge and public bars, the latter partially opened out to another room to form an area for pool, etc. Nice patio area out front in the Market Square. Plenty of food and drink offers. Doom Bar and Hobgoblin (£3.50 and OK, although there was some doubt amongst the staff about whether it was on or not) available from the three handpumps.
