This roadside Fullers house has had a recent refurb after a period of closure, a faint smell of paint was still in the air on my visit but the interior was looking quite smart and undamaged from its spruce up, the seating was mixed on a nice looking parquet floor, there were a couple of unlit fireplaces on my early November visit. I started with a pint of Dark Star Hophead, this was a little flattish, I tried a half of ESB after but found this lacking in condition, other beers on were Pride, HSB and Seafarerers , having only been reopened a few days at the time of my visit maybe too many beers on the go, I quite liked the pub but the beer needs work.

A very upmarket Fullers place that in truth is much more restaurant than pub now. It's a really pretty interior, multi-roomed and tastefully decorated with a lovely back garden too. Child friendly and board games noted. To be fair, the friendly landlady welcomed us as drinkers and apologised for the reserved tables and directed us to one that was OK. Surprised to see four Fullers beers; ESB, Pride, Seafarers and the seasonal Jack Frost (one I usually enjoy). However this example was well past its best and was, euphemistically, taking on sherry notes. Given how restuaranty the place was maybe I shouldn’t have been surprised.
