Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hop Poles
From the street, the Hop Poles is a traditional-looking side-street pub. However, the interior has been opened out to form a fairly large 'L'-shaped space which looks to be primarily a sports bar with plenty of TVs and a pool table. The decor suggests a student clientele, but most customers seemed to be rather older. Karaoke nights are advertised. Perhaps surprisingly, it has two handpumps offering Pride and Bombardier (£3.25).
