A nice train station style building that has obviously been smartened up since the last review. Quite clean and airy inside, basically a single extended room with a partially concealed raised area at one end, I didn't look to see if the pool table was still there. The colour scheme inside is a rather disappointing battleship grey, the seating is pretty normal stuff throughout. There is an open fire not in use on my visit but logs at the ready. A couple of muted tv screens had crap 80s karaoke classics on, why do pubs do this? Three handpumps but just Landlord available, passable in quality but served a little on the cold side. Customers were an od mix of suited profesional gentlemen fresh from the train and local tradesmen aided and abetted by a few older locals, these were a bit on the loud side but not too sweary as to be offensive, although this is under a Farnborough postcode its near enough to Aldershot to be affected by the Aldershot effect. Its ok but I wouldn't rush back.

A nice old building adjacent to the station which unfortunately houses a rough old pub. Looked like someone tried to refurb it to a decent standard 15-20 years ago but it has gone to seed. Layout is a long single bar with a separate raised room to the left hosting a pool table. Large screen TV showing some old gumpf through knackered speakers. The fitted trophy cabinets with glass fronts hold no trophies just assorted crap. Three pumps with just Bombardier on which was well past its best. Sweary regulars and a landlady who seemed to be taking too much lip for my liking. Oddly there were flowers on the tables but that was the equivalent of polishing a turd really. Despite my train not being for another 20 mins, I secreted my barely-drunk half and sat on the platform instead – I’d seen enough.

Along side the railway station, Doom Bar was on tap, food excellent, parking easy and rapid service for lunch. Traditional pub, great for lunch.
