A decent enough looking pub on the outside, but inside is markedly smarter than it looks from outside. There's a large lounge with a raised area and a further small room to the rear with a pool table and an impossible to play dartboard. There's a small beer garden to the rear with a covered smokers area. Obviously music led as there are 6 guitars up on the wall, there's also a jukebox and TV screens showing Sky Sports. I really like pubs with proper pub dogs and this one has a small, friendly, jet black version of the species. There are 2 handpumps on the bar, but sadly they are not in use. A half of Fosters was £1.35. It's a pleasant enough pub, shame about the lack of ale.
