Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Lyon Inn
Formerly known as the Red Lion, the Lyon Inn sits just off the main A48 road, under the shadow of the village church's impressive steeple.
There appeared to be 3 rooms, one to the left as you enter, the main bar area in the centre and a third room used for dining just beyond. As we arrived mid-afternoon on a Tuesday after Christmas, there were a few others in who had just finished their lunches. We appeared to be the only people in just for a drink.
3 real ales were on - Butcombe Bitter & Winter Berry Porter & Bespoke Santa's Little Helper. I tried the Winter Berry Porter, which was still nice, despite being nowhere near as good as the Goff's Blackberry Porter I'd just had in Gloucester.
Surroundings are fairly modern, but the pub was nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff weren't the friendliest around.
