Back street local, just off the area frequented by tourists. Two hand pumps, but one is for Rosie's Pig cider while the other has a decent Wye Valley Butty Bach. Not a favourite of mine but it's NBSS 3 or 3.5. For beer tourists it's not worth the step off the High Street, but if your bus has departed five minutes early, like mine, it'd be hard to resist.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Albion
Refurbished pub set back in a side street, but retaining the feel of a community local. L-shaped bar with a pool table and dartboard at one end. It wasn't initially clear that any cask ale was available since none of the three handpumps was clipped. However, following a delivery that morning, the Doom Bar (as I was advised) had settled enough to be served so I was happy to be served one of those at £3.70.

The Albion reopened a few months ago after a refurbishment. The interior of the pub looks quite smart, with vintage photos of Tewkesbury on the walls.Customers happily chatted away, whilst there was unobtrusive background music. There were two ales on, St Austall Tribute and Butty Bach. All in all, a step in the right direction.

General Staal left this review about The Albion Inn
This is an open plan Victorian pub that is half white and half brick.
The interior is tired with light coloured walls. The walls are dotted with nail holes and screw holes. They are decorated with lots of pictures of tribute acts.
It is open plan.
Beerwise is just the usual stuff - no real ales, but one real cider on handpull.
The service was fine - this is because I had a pint of Guinness which was foul and vinegary. I took it back to the bar and it was exchanged for a John Smith's without question and the price difference was refunded.
There were a few old boys in there who were worse for the wear. There was no atmosphere.
I drank swiftly and left. I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
