In a posh backstreet, this Arkells pub is more an eatery but it straddles the line between the posh and the locals fairly well. Farrow & Ball greens and creams inside with some modern flock wallpaper. Nice rear courtyard garden is the draw on sunny days. Two Arkells brews in 3B and Wiltshire Gold, the latter of which was a bit pump tired but drinkable (NBSS 2) served-up by a chatty barman. Nothing to really make it stand out from the pack.

The Golden Cross is on a very busy street in the middle of Cirencester.
When i went in this pub it was a traditional pub that was unaltered.
This pub is an Arkells tied house and they have spent a lot of money doing this place up,there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Arkells 3B which was a very nice drink the other beers were Arkells 2B and an Arkells seasonal beer.
