As stated below a nice location giving a country vibe. Quite a wide shallow interior serving 4 real ales. Live music advertised.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Royal
Nice position opposite the village (as I suppose it once was, before being swallowed up as a suburb of Cheltenham) church, but surprisingly dating 'only' from 1830. A variety of seating areas, all tastefully refurbished. Small front patio, with a larger grass beer garden beyond the car park. Four real ales on handpump, with Malvern Hill Bitter, Ramsbury Flint Knapper (£3.40), Gloucester Gold and Tribute available when we visited. Good Beer Guide 2015.

The Royal is our local and well worth a visit. 4 ever changing cask ales including 1 from a local brewery, well kept. Reasonable food and always busy - worth booking if you want a table. Freindly, helpful young staff and usually a lively atmosphere. Often live music on Friday evenings.
