An attractive looking place externally, less so once inside. The old two room format survives, the main room seemingly the focal point where there is a pool table and a dart board in a case. Nobody was in the back room apart from a large brown dog sprawled on a sofa. Carpeted for the most part, boarded around the pool table, the TV was on with the football scores being updated. There is a West Ham flag on the ceiling above the bar.
A rear garden looked pleasant despite having an old tractor residing, further front seating with a decked area. Just the one on, the ubiquitous Doom Bar so a quick half before my train from nearby East Tilbury station. There is nothing else in the area to provide competition unless you walk a mile or so to the immeasurably better Ship, it was ok but nothing more than that.
