This is a large pub that has a high street chain feel with drink and food promotions, but I still found it very welcoming as the staff didn’t have the vacant couldn’t care less look that you often find in these pubs that are dotted with plasma screens (6) for the Sky, projector screens (2) and pool tables (2). Advertisements outside advertise Karaoke on Thursdays and a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays when the pub closes at 1am all three of these nights and there is a midnight close on Sundays when live music is present. For those gamers out there Monday night is Wii night on the big screen.

There is an advertised pool room upstairs that I did not visit, but I did have a cigarette in the concreted area out the back that is located next to the car park and has a few picnic tables.

I would give this place a miss during the late close evenings, but I had a perfectly good pint in here during my weekday afternoon visit.
