Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Red Lion
Split-level side street inn, fully refurbished inside. Less space in the bar and lower seating area than one might expect, but there is also an upstairs function room (not visited). Modern furniture and decor. Live music and other events advertised. Three handpumps, offering Adnams Bitter plus two local ales from the Shalford Brewery - Barnfield Pale Ale and the 1319 Mild (£3.20). Overall, pretty good (except for the annoying dog belonging to a customer).

Bryan Smart left this review about The Red Lion
This really is a hidden gem.
Great ales, always a guest beer, different "Pub food" quirky tastes in music and customers.
Diverse customer base, very friendly and good wines as well as beers.
Well worth seeking out. Doesn't open until 7.00 in the evenings and closes daily at 3.00 except Sunday when lunches are served from 3.00 pm and then open until 10.30.
Friday evenings fish and chips or steak and chips with moules frites in season
