A clean and tided-up boozer with a bright and modern interior perhaps more geared up to dining than the noble art. The bar is central to the right, with all tables on larger left-hand area set out with cutlery as well as a small area with a short vaulted ceiling is located to the right of the room behind the bar. There's some box ticking being done here, but they seemed to be doing well out of it on my Tuesday evening visit, with a predominance of female customers in attendance, so fair play to them for making money out of that market. There's a least some concession to us beards, with CW Burning Gold, Sharp's Doom Bar and Black Sheep Bitter on the pumps, so I won't dock any further points for the blandish selection.
