Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Railway
The Railway is unsurprisingly next to South Woodham Ferrers and a level crossing. Seating wraps around the bar, with toilets behind the bar. There are some large screen TVs, a dartboard, pool tables, games machines, a jukebox and a sweet machine. Music was playing. Children are allowed in. A car park can be found on the left-hand side and there is a large outdoor drinking area to the right-hand side.
The bar has a couple of handpulls but no sign of any cask ale. The keg selection was Guinness, Amstel, Moretti, Fosters, Strongbow, Cruzcampo, Hawkstone Lager & Heineken.
A fairly standard locals' pub serving the local community. It's ok but if it's cask ale or real cider you're after, look elsewhere.

Reasonable pub that could do with a re-furb, one real ale on pump which was deuchars ipa, right outside the railway station. handy if you are waiting for a train
