Mark Smith must have seen some of the greatest gigs in the history of music if this flat-roofed estate pub has provides the best music he's ever seen (maybe he visited in The Fall?) Nothing special going on in the L-shaped room here, but it's clean and tidy, children (and locals) were well-behaved, and of the two token ales - Sharp's Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute - the Tribute was in great shape. The decor is Hungry Horse-esque, but the place was clean and tidy and if you can handle the multiple TV screens and dual-pool table area at one end of the "L" then, if you enter with low expectations, this will be one of the better estate pubs / flat roofers you'll encounter.
