An attractive limewashed pub in rolling countryside. A dining or gastropub, with a small bar area. A couple of handpumps, dispensing, on our mid week lunchtime visit in September 2013, Adnams’ Lighthouse, a fairly innocuous member of that stable, and Bishop Nick’s Heresy, which unfortunately wasn’t on good nick.Other fizzy concoctions were available, as was a rather impressive wine list. A sunny day, we sat outside until the wasps got unbearable. Pleasant enough, if somewhat minimalistically formal.
