Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hurstwood
Very much a country dining pub, and not really a village local for the residents of the surrounding area, but at least it's still open and seemingly doing good business on a Friday lunchtime. The L-shaped bar area has been comprehensively refurbished in an upmarket, semi-traditional style, with almost all tables laid up for those having a meal. However, there were a couple available for general seating, including a low one with a pair of comfortable armchairs near the fireplace. However, as the weather was good, the beer garden - located beyond the outdoor wooden decking restaurant extension under a fancy awning - was a pleasant spot for a pint. Three real ales on handpump: the compulsory Harvey's plus Sussex Pale and Kicking Donkey bitter (£4.95) from Lakedown.
