Strongers . left this review about Bay Hotel
The Bay Hotel is a large pub that was deserted when I visited yesterday (Wednesday) evening and although the other pubs in Pevensey Bay were hardly rammed they did have far more atmosphere. A plasma screen in the public bar at the rear of the pub was showing an FA Cup replay match via ITV, but Sky Sports is shown when a Premiership match is on and the pub has subscribed to Sky Sports 3D. Unfortunately the sound was muted and some depressing rock ballads were being blasted out of the speakers. There is also a pool table and dartboard in the public bar and on my way to the toilet I noticed a children’s soft play ball pit set up in a room behind the bar. The main bar area at the front of the pub houses a jukebox and to the left there is a large family dining area. The bar supports four hand pumps in amongst a few standard draught products, but three of these were unused leaving only Harveys Best. To be honest I didn’t think much of the Guinness which is hard to get wrong.
Being a hotel accommodation is available and there is a large car park.
Live music is regularly played here at weekends so I imagine that a much better atmosphere is generated than what I found, but I think the only reason I would ever drink in here again would be to watch the football and I would probably leave as soon as the match had finished.
