Strongers . left this review about The Half Moon Inn
The Half Moon Inn has an old wooden floored seating area with a part exposed wooden building frame at the front where seating sits in the windows either side of the central entrance. In the left rear is a raised area that is being used to store boxes and on the walls was lots of art for sale. Against the right-hand wall is a table with chairs adjacent to a fireplace in a stone and cement chimney breast, beyond which is the small, tiled floor bar area where the stool lined forward facing serving counter supports four hand pumps that were drawing Harveys Best and Gun Brewery’s Scaramanga alongside Kronenbourg and a premium keg selection. To the right of the bar is a split-level laminate seating area and out the back is a well-tended split-level patio beer garden. The service was polite, but the background music was a bit loungey and the atmosphere was very sedate. I don’t think I’d return, and that’s not just because I got stuck behind the Harvey’s Brewery tractor from here all the way back into Lewes.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Half Moon Inn
Very food-led country pub, located right at the foot of the South Downs, with an attractively refurbished semi-traditional multi-room interior. Further wooden bench seating can also be found outside under cover of a marquee. Three real ales and a cider available from the five handpumps: the ubiquitous Harvey's, Gun Project Babylonia Pale, Far Fetched from Hairy Dog (£4.00) and Rosie's Pig.

Will Larter left this review about The Half Moon Inn
A pleasant roadside pub which seems to have retained much of it original internal layout. The bar is to the right in a second room, and has five hand pumps, two with real ciders advertised. The three real ales were all from local breweries: I made the mistake of going for the product of an unknown brewery called Holler with the words "juicy pale" on the pump clip. I ought to have guessed that the juice they were aiming for was grapefruit and pineapple. Should have gone for the Harveys or the Dark Star. Unusually, the background music here was classical, which I discovered is good for soothing the breasts of those who are drinking beer that is not to their taste.
