No sign of any cask, appears to be more or less a cocktail bar.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Globe
Student-type pub almost on the seafront, featuring a modest 'L'-shaped bar and a further lounge downstairs. Basic furniture and decor, enlivened (and you won't hear me say this often) by tea-lights on the tables. All the other customers were playing boardgames, and there is also an old-school video games table in one corner. Burger menu. Just two handpumps on the compact corner counter, offering two Dark Star beers: Hophead (£4.10) and Revelation.

I popped into the Globe at about 20:30 last Tuesday evening and found an almost empty pub with very loud music playing. The bar faces the entrance and supports a limited draught selection and two hand pumps that were drawing W J Kings Brighton Best and Brighton Blonde. The day’s newspapers and a good collection of board games line the bar and are available for anyone to play. I found the décor to be a bit sparse, but I did like the interesting mechanical palm leaf fan that was up on the wall. There is a decent sized area downstairs along with another bar and my visit coincided with the weekly basement cinema evening. Live music and other events are advertised throughout the week. This pub is directed at students and the two enjoying the film ‘Superbad‘ doubled the occupancy of the pub. The two other students were upstairs eating fish and chips that came in at £8, like most of the other food on the menu.
The service was very friendly, but I think that there are better more comfortable pubs in the area.

Now this is a great pub. Sells real ale and food Has jazz playing and also has live jazz music. Check out the walls fans, makes a change from the standard ceiling propeller.
