Moby Duck left this review about The Roundhill

Is it a pub or a restaurant? I'm not sure but on my visit neither seemed too apparent. The furnishings and decor at best seemed tired, leaning toward cheap and tatty. There were a couple of small groups in eating to be fair, with a semi-open kitchen to the rear. Beer wise was pretty disastrous, two bare handpumps and a row of keg taps, all with upturned glasses on them, upon investigation all that was available a lager and a cider served via a portable chiller/dispenser sat on the bar. The half a lager actually had some quality about it so inquiring to the not so helpful barman as to what it was , all I could get from him was it's the house Lager, my own research on Untappd led me to believe it was Delirium Bravo Pils.
I can only assume there was a cellar issue but the solo Lager aside this visit was poor.

Strongers . left this review about The Roundhill Tavern

There are four picnic tables on the path outside the Roundhill Tavern and down the side is some more seating that is separated from the path by some black railings. The interior is L shaped with a couple more tables at the rear facing the large kitchen hatch. This is a gastro pub and the mains I spotted were priced around the £10 mark, but there was a January special menu where all dishes were £7. The bar is stocked with standard and draught products and the four hand pumps were drawing Doom bar, Tribute, Hepworth’s Classic Old Ale and Heritage cider. There is a quiz every Sunday from 20:00 and I found the staff to be very friendly.

It was busy in here with most people dining on Tuesday evening, but it is still a pub so there was no problem just having a beer. These places aren’t really my cup of tea, but for those that like the open plan gastro feel I would recommend.
