Strongers . left this review about The Queen Victoria
The Queen Victoria’s bar supports six hand pumps in two banks of three in amongst a standard draught selection, but unfortunately the only real ale available was Harveys Best from four of the pumps with two being unused. I opted for the Guinness and received a decent enough pint from the barman on duty. At some point this pub has had a very unsympathetic refurbishment as it has been stripped out leaving only the shell of its former past. At the rear of the pub there is a pool table and a couple of dartboards and a jukebox and quiz machine can be found on the back wall. There was some random background music playing during my recent weeknight visit and it was at a reasonable volume. There is some seating out the back that includes a very long covered bench. From advertisements seen in the gent’s toilet that is located downstairs (ladies are located upstairs) I ascertained that there is some sort of function every month that includes School discos and seventies discos.
I thought it to be very bland in here and would rather drink in the other pubs that Rottingdean has to offer.
