Smart hotel bar (actually called the Victoria Bar) in this most iconic Brighton hotel on the seafront between the pier and the i360. Definitely has a nice ambiance and the venue was generally occupied by an older clientele enjoying afternoon platters with champagne. The staff must have loved me and my custom as I bagged the only sofa and table by a power socket which I occupied for a couple of hours to do some work Teams calls on my laptop whilst purchasing a single beer. Service was impeccable though!

Just a straight keg offering with a handful of lagers (Becks, Camden Hells and Corona), augmented by Goose IPA, Camden Pale Ale, Guinness and Orchard Pig Cider. Even less likely than my first venue today would the typical customer be too worried about the beer offering.

Definitely a classy 5 and dare I say it a good place to visit if you need to get some work done whilst enjoying the eclectic mix that is Brighton. Definitely a venue that my wife would appreciate more than the fantastic Hole in the Wall pub a couple of mins walk away and a world away from this place.

Strongers . left this review about Grand Hotel

I visited the Grand Hotel with the aim of having a pint back in 2013, but alas the bar area to the left of the entrance was cordoned off for a private function. Fast forward three years and there were no such problems. The bar area was reasonably busy on Saturday evening, but I was served almost immediately. Alongside the premium lagers was a cask offering of West Pier’s Pale Ale. After being served I managed to find a small table where I could watch the trio of musicians play some of their set. I was even given some complimentary nuts and olives. I really enjoyed my visit and will return.
