Ian Mapp left this review about The Bell Tower

Was down on my map as "Daddy Longlegs" - so appears to go through frequent names changes. It's now the Bell Tower. On arrival, I was stuck behind a hen do, having their drinks poured into plastic glasses. I walked out, only to see everyone who was drinkin outside having proper glasses. Unsure what their criteria is. Maybe they just do it on feelings.

A single gravity fed cask on - Harvey's Sussex Best - but its the hottest day of the year. The choice of keg was a little limited... An unfiltered Moretti was almost selected for novelty value but i went for Neck Oil.

A lovely chat with some locals outside saved the visit from being completely unmemorable. And a junkie begging for cash to score a fix.

Located just off the Brighton marina end of the prom. Large L shaped interior. Standard draught selection. The pub has a dartboard and a pool table. Some Brighton FC memorabilia on the walls.

After a hefty walk from the Brighton Railway Station I found myself at the edge of town and in the New Bush. The bar area is L shaped with seating along the front windows and an area to the left that contains a pool table, which is free on Tuesdays, and a dartboard. To the right of the entrance there is a small seating area and the doors to the rear conservatory were locked on my Tuesday evening visit. I caught the end of Chelsea in a Champions League game shown courtesy of Sky Sports and the handful of customers seemed downbeat after the South West Londoners lost. There were a few Seagulls flags behind the bar and I got the overall feel that this is a local’s sports pub. I didn’t see any food advertised, but happy hour(s) on the standard draught are advertised from 13:00 until 17:00 during the week. The jukebox was off due to the football and there is a quiz and two fruit machines.

Only people that live in this area would make the journey from Brighton Railway Station to this pub for a beer to watch the match as there are better pubs on the way. That said, if I lived in the area this would be my local.
