The pub is formed of a pair of sizeable buildings which have been linked together by a modern conservatory style structure to form a meandering floor plan. Part of the current pub is now utilising the former offices of the now closed Devenish Brewery whose main buildings are nearby to the rear. There are beamed ceilings (some probably genuine, others probably not), a mix of flooring including flagstones and some fine Georgian windows. The main bar and extensive outdoor terrace have good views of the harbour and the lifting bridge further along. Décor involves framed local and maritime scenes however a pair of interesting old ships' charts are unfortunately situated on a bulkhead over a door/screen and hence are easily missed.
Now run by one of the offshoots of GK, the selection had GKIPA, Doom Bar, Dorset Piddle with Abbot and Landlord being reversed. Being Weymouth there must surely be some cider but I failed to spot it if so.
The place naturally caters for the tourist, the racks of large laminated menus and table condiments attest to this, we were in early with a good number eating breakfasts including unusually I thought, one consisting of steak and fried eggs.
It does what it has set out to do and fortunately the pub is large enough to cater for the large crowds it will surely attract in season. As often the case, pubs will be different places at different times.

The Old Rooms is an Historic on Weymouth's quayside with a conservatory and cobbled patio that overlooks the harbour.Called in most nights on our weeks stay in Weymouth and found a mixture of locals and tourists alike,a good percentage of which were taking advantage of the excellent food and the rest trying one of the 4 real ales on offer and attempting to find a seat to watch the World Cup.The pub is part of the All Inns group and quite liked this on There was a good atmosphere, friendly bar staff and discounts of real ale for CAMRA members.

The Old Rooms is next to the harbour.
Once inside here it is quite cramped in the bar area but opens out once you have walked past the bar this area is where most people have meals and children are aloud in this area.
There were three real ales on the bar and there is usually a beer from the Dorset Brewing Co we had a drink of Weymouth Quay bitter which was very nice the other beers on the bar were Bass and Flowers bitter.
The pub does food but gets very busy in the early evening.
