A detached corner pub and eatery, which also does accommodation. It looks late Victorian/Edwardian and is in a mix of undressed brick and a blue and white on the gables, bay windows and the ground level, which looks a little like decorative icing on a cake - it is gawdy, but in a nice way.
The interior has a couple of rooms - the main room is in a U-shape around the serving bar and is in red and white wood panel, with a white ceiling. There is a nautical theme to the ephemera, along with a few mirrors and NOT a West Ham shirt! (i went to see Weymouth FC play when visiting :-), there is a stone fireplace and dart board. The other room has a pool table and horse racing paintings. The service was fine and the clientele seemed to be a mix of locals with a few tourists. The TV wasn't on and the music was general and at a decent level.
Beer; tap stuff, with a decent set of handpulls - the St Austell Tribute and the Sharpe's Doombar were fine, the Dartmoor Jail Ale decent.
An all round decent and proper pub that seemes to have gone from strength to strength judging by the other review. I would more than happily go again, they just need to get the right claret 'n' blue on the walls!

The Globe is a small corner pub that is not far from the harbour.
Once inside this pub pub there was one carpeted room and a seperate pool room,the pub seemed a bit old fashioned and children are not allowed in here.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Wadworth 6X this was quite a nice drink.
Not a bad pub if you want a quiet drink.
