Soup Dragon left this review about The Anchor Inn
A tidy looking creamy/yellow rendered pub and eatery that occupies three former cottages it seems - A larger Georgian looking central building flanked either side by lower level builds. Also a music venue.
The interior is one long room it seems, broken centrally by a fireplace, with the serving bar facing you on entry. The decor is yellow, wood panel and undressed stone, with a wood floor. Like many places around, the theme is fishing and the sea as regards pictures and ephemera. The place is foody table orientated. The TV wasn't on and there was no real background music, just a song or two. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of a few blokes. I didn't eat but a main course seemed to be £8-9, so not excessive.
Beer; tap stuff with Ringwood Bitter and an average Adnams Broadside on handpull
A bit of a straight forward place really - the kind i am happy to pop into for one, but there are better locally for the real ale fan.
