Pint of Guinness.
No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Libertine lager, Stella, Mahou, Camden Hells, Jubel Peach lager, Camden Eazy IPA, Lucky Saint, Camden Pale.
Impressive subterranean venue in the Royal Exchange, access off Cornhill. Arch venue with polished concrete flooring. There are some booth tables on the left-hand side on entering the space and generally a lot of ledge seating along pretty much the full length of the right-hand wall with low stools to perch on. The bar counter is along the left-hand side and is an impressive affair with fixed stool seating on its three sides. There are some tall tables off the right-hand wall with a private dining space off that side towards the middle to rear of the venue. Some tables more obviously aimed at diners in the rear part and off the left-hand side both before and after the bar counter is a chess board patterned tiled floor occupied by regular tables and chairs and well occupied by diners on my later Monday evening visit. The lighting is very ambient and as far as I could tell no screens but a belting soundtrack that felt a bit not in step with the City based venue, but right up my Strasse. Classy venue that would go up a lot in my estimation with a more interesting beer range.
