No cask. Keg offering of A Little Faith pale ale from Northern Monk, Chouffe session blonde and Vedett pilsner.
New Belgian beer and board games bar on corner of Duke St and Duke St Arcade opposite the castle. Bare boarded. Drinking ledge with tall stools in front window. Bar counter on right-hand wall. Booth tables down left-hand side. Some small tables at the rear. Tables at the side of the venue in the arcade so provides some covered outside seating – useful today with the v strong sun. Beer fridges on right-hand wall just inside the entrance providing a good selection of more Belgian (and other) beers to support the small draught offering. No screens. Rock soundtrack on my visit not surprising as the venue was busy with Metallica fans ahead on the evening's event in the Millennium Stadium.
