E TA left this review about The Round Coppice (JD Wetherspoon)
A new ‘Spoons in a former commercial premises, part of the ever-expanding and increasingly awful Whitely commercial estate. It comprises a single rectangular room with the bar at one side and an open kitchen at the end furthest from the door. There is some outside seating at the front, right next to the small service road that surrounds the site. The young staff were mainly new to the job, so patience was required, while one or two more experienced staff kept things moving. The majority of the clients were loud, unappealing shoppers complete with feral offspring and entitled spouses of both sexes. The ale selection was unexciting, just the usual 3 suspects, Ruddles, Abbott and Doombar, and a side offering of Thornbridge Jaipur. It was crowded, loud and generally unconvivial, more so than most other Wetherspoons, and while it is a better bet than the two other nearby pubs, it’s not somewhere worthy of being a destination in its own right.
