E TA left this review about Sherlock's Bar
Basically, an old people’s disco bar. Named after Conan Doyle’s eponymous detective, Sherlock’s is a lively bar with a clientele perhaps more mature than most other bars nearby. There are various Holmes memorabilia around including a sign from Baker Street and a yellow door. Why yellow? It’s a lemon entry, dear Watson. When we visited there was a very loud, very lively karaoke in operation, exclusively used by a brightly dressed lady who, in a slightly tone-deaf way, was belting out 1980s disco hits to the joy and amusement of other customers including a hen party and a cohort of dad-dancing sexagenarians. There was no cask ale, the choice being between Camden Pale Ale, Stella, Guinness, San Miguel and a range of garish cocktails. Their opening hours are limited, and they often host private parties. The staff were friendly, and we were made to feel welcome by everyone in there. It was a bit of fun, and while I should have hated it, I didn’t.
